1/12/13 -- While this site has rarely been updated, it's also come up that the Contact section no longer seems to be working. If you want to contact me, please visit my Facebook page, Trent Zelazny -- The Writer in Ward Eleven, and you should be able to send me a message there.
7/1/12 -- Oh, joyous day! Kaloo kalay! Fractal Despondency is now available as an audiobook, read by, well, me. Get it at Amazon, iTunes, Audible. It's only six bucks.
AND... the 3rd of this month (that's, like, uh, a couple days away) Butterfly Potion will officially be released. You can wait, or if you're the type of person who just can't wait, you can pre-order it at Nightscape Press. I think the ebook is already available--AND IT'S CHEAP!!! Go get it! Hooray!!!
6/8/12 -- Howdy. Just a quick note to say that A Crack in Melancholy Time, the follow-up to Fractal Despondency, is now available as an audiobook, read by Clifton Satterfield. Check it out!
4/29/12 -- Hi, all. So, Cinco de Mayo (5/5/12) at 5:00, I will be reading and signing books at Collected Works Books, alongside (well, really I'm more of an opening act) my friend and literary hero Joe R. Lansdale. Please stop by, if you can, and say hello.

4/23/12 -- Two years ago today Angelyn left this world. I love you, honey. I miss you dearly. My Angel-Y-N.
4/19/12 -- Hola, howdy, hi. Just a quick mention that To Sleep Gently will finally be available in print very, very soon. These happy days are yours and mine.
3/29/12 -- So, yeah, Nightscape Press unveiled the cover for my new novella Butterfly Potion today, and all I can say is I'm very, very pleased.
3/28/12 -- Well, it sure has been a while, eh? I redecorated a bit (or my friend did, really). As I spend too much time of Facebook I don't get on here much to tell what's going on (that, and I'd lost my password).
So what's in the news? Two things worth mentioning. First would be the new novella I have coming out. It's called Butterfly Potion and is being published by Nightscape Press and I couldn't be more please, both with the book and with the publisher. Great folks there at Nightscape.
Second, there is a sale going on. Fractal Despondency in kindle is $1.49 through April and the money is going to support the Santa Fe Recovery Center, which provides treatment for individuals struggling with addiction. If 100 copies sell I'll post a video of me singing Rebecca Black's immortal classic "Friday". If another 100 sell I'll do a song by popular vote, and so on and so forth. So considering grabbing a kindle copy. You get one of my books, you might see me behave like a complete idiot, and the money is going to a good cause.
Hmm, I guess that's it at the moment. Hope I don't take so long between updates next time.
9/28/11 -- Hello, friends. So, many things happening, but I shall keep it limited in this little space. A Crack in Melancholy Time, the follow-up to Fractal Despondency is now available in eBook from Crossroad Press. Before too long, it shall move next door to Shadowboxer in a combined print edition. I'm hoping to convince them that it should be done like the old Ace Doubles so popular in the fifties and sixties, but we'll see. Feel free to write the publisher and suggest it.
Also, check out the trailer to A Crack in Melancholy Time. I'm quite pleased with the way this one turned out.
Also, on October 8th, I'll be doing a live podcast interview on She Never Slept. I'll be trying to sound smart, and shall do my best to whore my work.
There are other things, but, honestly, I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
7/29/11 -- You can now also watch a trailer for Fractal Despondency HERE!
7/27/11 -- Be sure to check out the trailer for Shadowboxer HERE!
7/04/11 -- Happy 4th, Happy Hamsters! Just wanted to say that, however briefly it may be, Fractal Despondency has reached #16 on Amazon's Mystery Bestseller list. Let's see if we can make it even better than that!
7/02/11 -- Hola and howdy. So, Fractal Despondency is now available in paperback. This means the old school folks (myself included) can now get their hands on an actual tangible object with my name on it and my words in it. It is dedicated to my late fiance, Angelyn, who, as many of you know, passed away in April 2010. This novella is semi autobiographical but I won't tell you which parts.
Reviews so far have been very good. In my humble opinion, this means you should buy it, which you can do, currently, at Amazon or Barnes and Noble. All the cool kids are buying it. Don't you wanna be cool?
Here's what a few have said:

6/24/11 -- Hey, Cats and Kittens. With Fractal Despondency only a few days away from release, Black Curtain is currently offering this "Gut-wrenching allegory of self-destruction that progresses with storm force intensity from beginning to end" (Made in DNA) in Kindle through June 26th for only a measly .99. Pretty good deal, I think. So what you waiting for?
6/03/11 -- What's that? Yes, it has been an awful long time since this site was updated. And it will be a little longer, too. Don't worry, you, you and, uh...you. There will be plenty coming soon. Stay tuned.
